7 Quick & Easy Ways to use Milk Powder

Organic Times Full Cream and Skim Milk Powders

1) High Energy Protein-enriched Milk

INGREDIENTS: 

METHOD:

  1. Gradually add milk powder to milk, whisking until dissolved. Keep in refrigerator.

2) Homemade Condensed Milk

INGREDIENTS: 

METHOD:

  1. Put all the ingredients in a food processor and whizz until the sugar is dissolved.

3) Creamy Hot Chocolate Mix – Makes 20 serves

INGREDIENTS: 

METHOD:

  1. Whisk all ingredients together in a large bowl, then pulse ingredients in a food processor until chocolate is finely ground.
  2. Store the dry mix in an airtight container for up to 3 months.
  3. To make hot cocoa, put 1/3 cup of cocoa mix in a mug and stir in 1 cup hot milk or water.

4) Pancake Mix

INGREDIENTS: 

METHOD:

  1. Simply stir ingredients together or blend in food processor. Store in an airtight container.
  2. For every cup of pancake mix add 1 cup water, 1 egg and 1 tablespoon butter. Whisk together in a jug and make pancakes as usual.
  3. Serve with your choice of toppings.

*if you prefer your pancakes less sweet, you can reduce the amount of sugar you add in your pancake mix

5) Homemade Cocoa Mix

INGREDIENTS: 

METHOD:

  1. Mix all ingredients together and store in an airtight container.
  2. To make hot cocoa, put 1/3 cup of cocoa mix in a mug and stir in 1 cup hot milk or water.
  3. Serve with Organic Times Vanilla Mallows

6) Crème Brulee

INGREDIENTS:

METHOD:

  1. Add cream, milk powder mix and vanilla to a pot.Heat until 180 degrees c. Remove from heat.
  2. Mix yolks and sugar in a large bowl. Beat until sugar melts and yolks turn pale yellow.
  3. Remove vanilla beans. Add milk mix slowly to egg mix. Pour into brulee moulds. Place in tray, fill with lukewarm water to half-way of moulds. Bake for 35 minutes or until just firm.
  4. Remove and allow to cool.
  5. To serve: Sprinkle 2 teaspoons Rapadura Sugar on top. Grill or blowtorch to caramelise.

7) Nourishing Milk Bath

INGREDIENTS:

METHOD:

  1. Pour honey into a large bowl, slowly add boiling water
  2. Stir until dissolved and leave to cool
  3. Start running your bath, and whilst waiting…
  4. Place milk powder into a large bowl, and gradually mix in cooled honey water.
  5. Add you milk mixture to your bath – preferably into the running water – to dissolve milk powder.
  6. Get in, relax and enjoy!
