Homemade Rocky Road Easter Eggs

Super simple to make that the kids can get involved in too, the only hard part of this recipe is waiting for them to set before you can devour.

Simply made with melted choc drops, you can mix up the combination of rocky road and/or little gems as you please.

These Rocky Road and Little Gem Easter Eggs are a perfect homemade gift for someone special and will surprise and delight even the Easter Bunny him/herself!

Ingredients

Dark Chocolate Eggs

Milk Chocolate Eggs

Equipment

  • Small-med plastic chocolate Easter egg molds

Method

  1. Melt chocolate drops in a double boiler over medium heat until smooth, stir well.
  2. Gently pour chocolate into molds, fill them 1-2cm from the top.
  3. Chop rocky road into small 1-inch pieces.
  4. Place 3-4 pieces of rocky road into two of the chocolate egg molds.
  5. Sprinkle desired amount of little gems into remaining egg halves.
  6. Refrigerate for 2-3 hours or until chocolate is completely set.
  7. Repeat this same method for the milk chocolate eggs.
  8. Once set, carefully turn the molds over and gently tap it onto a clean surface until the eggs come out of the molds.
  9. Enjoy!
